Dr. Brandon Mayes O.D.

Dr. Mayes grew up in Derby, Kansas where he enjoyed playing football and basketball, and hanging out with his younger brothers. After high school, Dr. Mayes attended Oklahoma State University and graduated in 2005 with a Bachelors of Science in Biology. During his years at OSU,

he worked with the intramural sports department and enjoyed participating in many intramural athletic programs.

Dr. Mayes went on to attend the Oklahoma College of Optometry where he graduated in 2009. Dr. Mayes' case reports and research projects have received both local and national accolades. Dr. Mayes’ graduate research on perception of gaze has been published in journals such as the International Vision Research Journal. Dr. Mayes has written many award-winning case reports, including a case report globally recognized by HOYA Vision Care. Other award winning case reports have been recognized by large entities such as Alcon Pharmaceuticals (for his work with contact lenses), the American Optometric foundation (for his work with infant vision), Oklahoma College of Optometry (for his research and for clinical excellence), Marchon Eyewear (for his practice management work), Healthy Eyes Healthy People (for his work with diabetic eyecare), Vision Service Plan (for his clinical skills),and Essilor Laboratories of America (for his work with presbyopia).   

Dr. Mayes is currently a member of the American Optometric Association, the Oklahoma Association of Optometric Professionals and The College of Optometrists in Vision Development.

Dr. Bryce Mayes O.D.

Dr. Mayes grew up in Derby, Kansas where he enjoyed playing sports with his older brothers and friends. After high school, he played college basketball for one year at Wichita State University before transferring to the University of Kansas to finish his studies. During his time at KU he was active in the Sigma Nu fraternity. He graduated from KU in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry.

Dr. Mayes went on to attend the Oklahoma College of Optometry where he graduated in 2017. While in school, Dr. Mayes developed a passion for the treatment of dry eye. He focused his research on how to utilize new technology to treat dry eye. His work received national attention and he was awarded the HOACLS Student Research Award, which is given to the top 5 student research projects nationwide. Dr. Mayes completed his externship at the Harrel Eyecare Dry Eye Center in Tulsa, one of the leading dry eye treatment centers in Oklahoma. Here he furthered his experience with the latest dry eye treatment options.     

Dr. Mayes has received multiple awards for his expertise with contact lenses. He is an award-winning author of a case report on fitting and evaluating specialty contact lenses. In addition, he was recognized by his professors as the recipient of the Oklahoma College of Optometry Excellence in Contact Lens Award.  

Dr. Mayes is currently a member of the American Optometric Association, the Oklahoma Association of Optometric Professionals and The College of Optometrists in Vision Development. Dr. Mayes is the younger brother of Dr. Brandon Mayes.
